Art college essay

This is a college essay that worked for Harvard University.

When I was in high school, I had a passion for art. I was always the one to volunteer to paint a backdrop or create a sculpture for our school plays and musicals. I loved the feeling of being able to create something and see it come to life. I was also lucky enough to have a few art classes where I could really explore my creativity. I was able to experiment with different mediums and learn how to express my thoughts and feelings through my art.

I soon realized that art was more than just a hobby for me. It was a way to express myself, a way to tell stories, and a way to connect with others. I came to understand that art is something that transcends boundaries and creates a shared experience that can bring people together. I was also inspired by the power of art to evoke emotion and create a sense of beauty and wonder.

Art has become an integral part of my life. I have explored various mediums, from drawing and painting to sculpting and photography. I have also taken classes in art history and studio art, where I have been able to learn about the techniques and styles of different artists and cultures. Through my art classes, I have gained an appreciation for the different elements of art and how they can be used to communicate a message or tell a story.

My passion for art has also opened up new opportunities for me. I have been able to participate in art shows and competitions, and I have even been able to teach art classes to younger students. Through these experiences, I have been able to share my love of art with others and help them discover the joy and beauty of creating art.

My love of art has changed the way I look at the world and has made me a more creative and compassionate person. I am now able to appreciate the beauty in everyday things and to express my thoughts and feelings through my art. Art has become an important part of my life, and I am excited to see where it will take me in the future.
