The City University of New York (CUNY) is the public university system of New York City. CUNY is the largest urban university in the United States, consisting of 24 institutions: 11 senior colleges, seven community colleges, the William E. Macaulay Honors College at CUNY, the CUNY Graduate School and University Center, the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, the CUNY School of Law, the CUNY School of Professional Studies and the CUNY School of Public Health.

There are many reasons why I would like to attend a CUNY college. As a New Yorker, I have been surrounded by CUNY institutions my entire life, and I have always been impressed by the quality of education they provide. As a student, I am drawn to the affordability of CUNY, which makes it accessible to a wide variety of students from different backgrounds. Additionally, I am attracted to the diverse student body that CUNY attracts, which allows students to learn from different perspectives and cultures.

Another reason I am interested in attending a CUNY college is the career opportunities available. CUNY offers a wide variety of majors and minors that are in high demand in the job market. Additionally, CUNY has strong alumni networks and career services that can help students find internships and jobs. Finally, CUNY has a strong commitment to service, which is something I value highly. I am passionate about making a difference in my community, and CUNY offers many opportunities to do so through volunteer and service-learning programs.
