When I was applying to college, I had to write an essay about why I wanted to attend a particular school. I chose to write about my love for the school’s basketball team, which was not a typical topic for a college essay. I wrote about how I had grown up watching the team play and how I had always dreamed of one day being a part of the team. I wrote about how much I admired the team’s determination and their ability to come back from tough losses. I wrote about how the team had inspired me to work hard and never give up, no matter what. I wrote about how I wanted to be a part of the team and help them continue to be successful. In the end, I was accepted to the school and I am still an avid fan of the basketball team.
