How to write a college research paper

1. Choose a topic. Choose a topic that interests you and that you can find enough information about. Make sure your topic is not too broad or too narrow.

2. Conduct research. Use reliable sources such as books, scholarly articles, and websites to gather information about your topic. Take notes as you go along so you can easily refer back to your sources when writing your paper.

3. Create an outline. An outline will help you organize your thoughts and ideas. It will also help you determine what information you need to include in your paper.

4. Write your paper. Start with an introduction that introduces your topic and states your thesis. Then, write your body paragraphs that support your thesis. Finally, write a conclusion that summarizes your points and reiterates your thesis.

5. Edit and proofread. Once you’ve finished writing your paper, go back and read it over. Look for any grammar, spelling, or punctuation errors. Additionally, make sure your paper flows logically and that all of your points are supported by evidence.

6. Cite your sources. Make sure to cite all of your sources both in-text and in a bibliography at the end of your paper. This will ensure that you give credit to all of the authors whose work you used.
