I am a first generation college student, and I can say with certainty that my college experience has been a life-changing experience. Growing up, I was not exposed to the same academic and social opportunities as most of my peers. I was raised in a low-income, single-parent household and I had to work hard to make ends meet. I was determined to break out of the cycle of poverty and make something of myself.
I chose to attend college because I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. I knew that a college degree was essential to achieving my goals. During my college experience, I have been able to explore my interests, develop my skills, and make meaningful connections with others. My college experience has allowed me to grow as a person and to become a better leader.
My college experience has been an amazing journey. I have been able to take challenging classes that have pushed me to think critically and to challenge my beliefs. I have also been able to make meaningful connections with my peers and professors. I have been able to learn about different cultures, religions, and perspectives. I have also been able to gain a better understanding of the world around me.
