Essay 1:

I am applying for this scholarship to help me reach my goal of obtaining a college degree. My educational ambitions have been a part of my life since I was a child. My parents, both of whom are college graduates, instilled in me the importance of education and the value of hard work. Growing up, I saw them work hard to provide for our family and I knew that I wanted to do the same.

I have worked hard in school, and I have been successful in my academic pursuits. I have maintained a 3.5 GPA throughout my high school career, and I have taken rigorous courses such as AP classes and honors classes. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, which has allowed me to volunteer in my community. I have been involved in a variety of extracurricular activities, and I am an active member of my church youth group.

I am passionate about continuing my education and pursuing a degree in business. I believe that this degree will give me the knowledge and skills I need to succeed in the business world. I also want to use my degree to make a difference in my community and to help others reach their goals.

I am confident that I have the dedication, drive, and commitment to be successful in college. I am eager to take the next step in my educational journey and I am certain that I will make the most of this opportunity.
